Practice searches
Wolf EMR includes a powerful practice search functionality that enables you to search for any information within the electronic medical records. When you perform a search, you can either obtain a list of patients who satisfy your criteria or run rules to automatically. Practice searches and rules simplify the management of patients with chronic diseases, resulting in better patient outcomes and more proactive scheduling of follow-up visits and test for these patients.
Before you can perform a search that produces a patient list or create a rule to flag patients who have a specific condition, you must first create a practice search. A practice search defines what parameters patients must meet to appear on a search report or to be flagged by a rule. See Creating new practice searches and Performing practice searches.
You can also create rules that automatically flag patients that match your search parameters and enable you to easily perform an action for the patients. For example, you can define searches for diabetic or hypertensive patients, and for patients with late immunizations. Using rules, you can then know which patients require follow-ups for missed recommended screenings, or require medication monitoring. See Practice search rules.
