Permanently deleting medical problems from your clinic list

If you add a medical problem to your clinic’s problem list, and later decide that you want to permanently remove the problem (for example, if you realize that the problem is already on the list), you can delete the problem.

You cannot delete a problem if:

The problem has been assigned to a patient

The problem came with Wolf EMR’s original problem list

You must deactivate these problems instead. See Deactivating (removing) medical problems from your clinic list.

Steps

1. Open the Problem Maintenance window, and then search for the problem you want to deactivate. See step 1 to step 3 in Modifying medical problems in your clinic problem list.
2. To open the problem, click the problem’s Internal ID number. The <problem name> - Problem window opens.
3. At the top of the window, click Delete

Note: If the Delete icon is unavailable (greyed-out) or if a warning pop-up indicates that this problem has been used in patient charts, the problem cannot be deleted. You must deactivate the problem instead. See Deactivating (removing) medical problems from your clinic list.

4. Click Yes.
